Injections AfterCare

The below advise is extremely important after anti-wrinkle injections have been
administered.

• Keep in an upright position for 4 – 5 hours. For example, sitting upright in a chair or
  standing, not lying on a sofa or bed. Lying in a flat position may allow the product to
  migrate into other muscles of the face.
• Do not rub the injection areas. Raised small lumps are common at the injection
  points and should subside within 24 hours.
• Avoid making exaggerated facial expressions for 4 – 5 hours to stop product
  migration.
• Avoid Excessive bending for 4 – 5 hours.
• Avoid Running, Gym workouts and Exercise for 24 hours.
• No Beauty Treatments on the face for at least 2 weeks.
• No Sunbeds for at least 2 weeks.
• No Saunas for at least 2 weeks.
• Avoid make up for the rest of day after treatment.

What to expect after the treatment?

Immediately after treatment
You may notice some redness, possible bruising or swelling around the injection points, this
is normal. Some people will have small bubbled red lumps at the injection site. It is
important not to touch the injection areas for at least 4 hours to allow the product to settle.
A small percentage of client can experience a headache.

Days 4 – 14 known as the settling in period
Typically, some results can be noticeable from 4 days, however full effect of the treatment
will not fully show until 14 days have passed. During the settling in period it is common to
feel a slight tight sensation or feeling of heaviness. Some clients also report a small amount
of numbness and tingles as the product settles. These effects will subside in 1 to 2 weeks. It
is also common for the one area of the face to take effect quicker than the rest, for example
the forehead followed by the eye area. It is important to wait the full 14 days to see full
results.

Please ensure you attend your 2 week follow up appointment to allow a full assessment of
how the treatment has worked and for any tweaks that need to be made. Please note the 2
week follow up appointment CAN NOT be delayed, we only have a small timeframe to
retreat or tweak an area if needed.
