Brows AfterCare

It is essential to follow these aftercare instructions after your brow session.

This will affect up to 50% of your final result so please ensure it is followed strictly to avoid disappointment.

1 Hour after procedure leave eyebrows without any aftercare and allow lymph to leave the skin (Eyebrows can look sweaty) – after 1 hour Pat brows with a damp cotton pad (use Boiled cooled water), dry with a tissue and apply a THIN layer of oil. Remember this is only a very thin layer!

DAY 1

Every 1 hour – pat, pat with a wet cotton pad and dry with a clean tissue until nothing Is left on the tissue. Apply a thin layer of oil.

DAY 2 – 9

Pat, pat Oil routine (no drying) every morning and night.  If you have Normal/combination skin do not apply any oil throughout the day. (Only if they are itchy) However, for Dry Skin keep the brows hydrated applying a thin layer of oil throughout the day. This can be between 2 applications per day depending on how much you need. Do not over saturate the brows though.

PLEASE REMEMBER NOT TO GET THE BROWS WET OTHER THAN WHEN YOU ARE CARRYING OUT THE AFTERCARE.

  • REMOVE MAKE-UP WITH WIPES CAREFULLY AVOIDING THE BROWS.
  • APPLY MAKE UP CAREFULLY – AVOIDLING THE BROW AREA
  • WASHING YOUR HAIR – MOVE SHOWER HEAD DOWN AND AVOID GETTING THE EYEBROWS WET – USE SHOWER SHEILD SUPPLIED.

The following MUST BE AVOIDED during ALL 9 days

  • Increased sweating, Sweat will affect healing drastically as salt lifts pigment out of the skin.
  • Practicing sports
  • Swimming

What to expect during and after your brow procedure:

  • Your new temporary eyebrow will go through several phases during the healing cycle.
  • Day 1 – 3 The brows will be BOLD in colour and appear dark. Trust the healing process they will fade softly.
  • Day 3-4 The brow will start to itch and potentially flake. The texture of the brow may appear thick.     DO NOT PICK!!
  • Day 5 – 6 Most of the flakes are starting to come away from the skin. You may notice a grey like effect for several days until the skin exfoliates naturally. Full healing and colour bloom will take approximately 21 to 28 days.
  • Day 7 –14 The skin around the brows is now smooth, colour is very light however.
  • Day 15 –30 The brows look brighter and clearer. The colour has bloomed, although a little patchy. The tissue is now healthy, and the healing process is complete.
  • Day 30 – Onwards, final touch up appointment attended to perfect the brows.
  • Once completely healed always apply a layer of SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun.  Sun exposure may cause colour pigment to fade away more quickly. I recommend a lip chap stick, readily available in most supermarkets.
